Introducing || M.O

I may be a bit late with this post but it needed to be done anyway. With a lack of girl groups in the current market it would seem the perfect time for one to swoop on in and dominate the charts. Well that seems to be what three-piece British group, M.O, are doing this year.
Although they have been dropping great songs for almost three years, it is their most recent single Preach which has caught everyone's attention and got them a lot of airplay on Radio 1.
The song proves they have strong vocals and a cool, throwback r'n'b vibe which has been missing on the radio for some time. Here's hoping their debut album delivers some more great music and even more success.

Introducing || CL

She is one of the biggest artists in K-Pop with a string of NO.1's as part of a four-piece girl group called 2NE1. She has the backing of Will.I.Am, Scooter Braun and Skrillex as well as a huge fanbase who voted her the second most influential person of the past year on TIME's website. But the name CL may not be one that you are yet familiar with.
She has started making herself known in the US as a bit of a fashion icon with close friend Jeremy Scott using her as a muse for his Moschino collections.
She has also signed on to be one of Scooter Braun's next successes alongside Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande. So there is not much in the way of global success from the Korean superstar.
She has what it takes - a great voice, strong rapping ability, fluent in English as well as Korean, good looks, an innovative style, stage presence and the ability to dance.
As long as the music is up to par, I am sure you will be hearing a lot from CL who is set to release new music in America this year.

Introducing || Kyndall

The daughter of successful R'n'B singer El Debarge has a lot to live up to if she wants the same three decade long career. Fortunately, 19 year old Kyndall seems to have the talent and the songs to get her there.
She has just dropped her debut E.P., Still Down, and a video for one of the tracks which proves her potential as a young r'n'b artist. She can certainly sing and she looks the part but does the music live up to the rest of the package.
Well, after my first listen of the six track E.P, I can certainly say that she may well deliver a killer album so long as she sticks with what she is doing and gets a few strong collaborations too.
Check out one of the tracks, Playing Games, below.

Introducing || Natalie La Rose

Born and raised in Amsterdam, this 26 year old singer and dancer signed her recording contract back in 2013 and has finally started making waves in the music industry. It's a tough and highly saturated world for female r'n'b artists with even some of the most talented, such as Tiara Thomas, Tinashe, Mila J and Jasmine V, struggling to make an impact. So Natalie will need more than her good looks and vocal ability to make herself stand out.
Her debut single, Somebody, channels Whitney Houston's classic I Wanna Dance With Somebody and sees her team up with Jeremih for a fun and catchy club track.
The video, which is quite a generic dancey one, already has over 3 million views on Youtube which is quite an achievement for a relatively unknown artist.
If she continues on this upward spiral with a great debut album then she should definitely be on your radar in 2015.

Introducing || Tink

Tink is definitely the one to watch in 2015 with her mento Timbaland working on a debut album that already boasts a collaboration with Rick Ross and Jay-Z.
The Chicago born 20 year old has a tonne of songs and videos on Youtube which will get you excited about the up and coming musicians career. She has the feel of a young Lauryn Hill with her pitch perfect vocals and fierce rapping flow that she can alternate between with ease and skill.
Her latest track Around The Clock is a hot Timbaland produced hip hop track that showcases Tink's lyricism and confidence as she paves her way on to the music scene.

Introducing || Rochelle Jordan

With new female artists being an ongoing theme of success this year (I mean just look at Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea, Tinashe, Ella Henderson and Jhene Aiko) it is going to be tough for another female to bring it in 2015.
But Rochelle Jordan (ROJO) seems to be rising to the challenge of making a name for herself in the r'n'b music industry.
She has been making moves for a while with a 2011 EP and opening for Jessie Ware on tour in 2013 but now the Canadian born singer/songwriter is stepping out having just dropped her debut album 1021 this week...and it's a goodun'.
There is something very reminiscent of Aaliyah in her sound which is something this generation of music is missing, so let's see what she can bring in the new year.

Introducing : Tori Kelly

Tori Kelly has done the rounds as a musician and she is only 21 and yet to even release a studio album. She made a name for herself on the shows Star Search and America's Most Talented Kids, the latter of which she won. She also auditioned for American Idol but just missed out on reaching the Top 24, a decision that Simon Cowell may now be regretting, and she has now become a very popular Youtuber with her covers of songs.
Now Tori is finally getting her shot as a recording artist and has joined forces with infamous manager of the stars, Scooter Braun (who manages Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande), to bring us an album.
She has worked with Ed Sheeran and Pharrell and is featured on Professor Green's latest single Lullaby so it's safe to say this young vocalist is a soon to be superstar.

Introducing : Abrina

This could be the year of the female R'n'B soloist with idols like Beyonce and Riri ruling the roost and young up and comers like Tinashe and Sevyn Streeter making a name for themselves.
Abrina is hoping to be next with her new single featuring another new star Eric Bellinger. Abrina has already released a few good tracks over the past three years, which you can see over at Youtube, but this newest track Actin' Up is a really catchy club track with a lot of promise.

Introducing : Melissa Steel

If you have been listening to pretty much any radio station these past few weeks then you will be familiar with an island inspired song Kisses For Breakfast which features dancehall star Popcaan. Well the female vocalist and writer behind the song is 20 year old Melissa Steel.
She is signed with Atlantic records and currently working on her debut album and with this hot summer track setting of her music career, Melissa will be one to watch over the coming months.

Introducing : Dominique Young Unique

The name may sound familiar as this 23 year old rapper from Florida featured on DJ Fresh and Diplo's huge club track Earthquake. Now the young model is breaking out on her own with the help of her record label Sony and her debut single Throw It Down.
She looks and sounds the part, and her style most definitely falls under the genre of 'unique' but the true test of her musical ability will come when she eventually drops an album.

Introducing : Love Dollhouse

Russell Simmons is repping a new girl group at his label All Def Digital called Love Dollhouse. The beautiful three teens can all sing and dance and their style is individual but girl groups are known to fail so they have to bring it with the music.
Their debut Can I is a catchy and sweet summer jam but it's missing the power and fire which made Destiny's Child, TLC and Spice Girls such huge success stories. Here's hoping that they come with something better next time if they want to stay in the game.

Introducing : Eric Bellinger

I am probably really late in discovering this artist but if you still haven't heard about him, his name is Eric Bellinger and he sounds like Chris Brown, Tyga and Trey Songz all rolled into one.
He has written for Chris Brown, Chipmunk and Selena Gomez to name a few, but he now has his own music career going on. His debut album The Rebirth reached number 25 on the Billboard charts and features collaborations with Sage the Gemini, Too Short and Sevyn Streeter.The single posted below samples 80's classic Jump by Kriss Kross but incorporates a modern twist, it's not one of his better songs so check out the rest at soundcloud.

Introducing: Pia Mia

Pia is a little 17 year old with a big voice which got her millions of views on Youtube and a record deal with Interscope. Her start came courtesy of appearances on Keeping up with the Kardashians as a close friend of Kylie Jenner. Now the fashionista is dropping her music in anticipation of her debut album set to be released later this year.

Introducing: Snow Tha Product

This 24 year old Mexican-American rapper has been on the scene for around four years with an independent album and multiple mixtapes, but with a studio album set to be released this year Snow Tha Product could finally have her breakthrough.
She has an array of videos on Youtube such as Doing Fine, Hopeless and Gettin' It but below I have posted two of her most popular singles.

Introducing : Ella Eyre

My new music obsession is the sometime Rudimental front-woman and recent Brit Award winner, Ella Eyre. This London born vocal goddess is only 19 years old and has already lent her voice to a number one single which some of you may know as Waiting All Night.
Not only is she a strong vocalist with flawless locks but she has the stage presence and confidence of someone twice her age.
Her voice and music has garnered much critical attention and a solid fan base who I am sure will see Ella to a number one album later in the year. Until then, have a listen to her feel-good single Deeper.

Introducing : Zendaya

Zendaya, yes that's her real name, is a superstar in the making. She is only 17 years old and has already made a name for herself after starring on a Nickelodeon show and making it to the finals of Dancing With The Stars.
She can sing, dance and she is making a mark on the fashion industry too. With her self-titled album showcasing her maturity and relevance as a new R&B artist, Zendaya is quickly on the rise to stardom. Her new single My Baby samples the beat from Beat It by Sean Kingston and Chris Brown, check it out below!

Introducing : Chance The Rapper

Having just been included on the list of 15 artists to watch in 2014 by BBC, it is looking like 20 year old rapper, Chance The Rapper, may take a few hip-hop crowns this year. His 2012 mixtape Acid Rain was hugely popular and made its way on to many 'best albums' and 'best artists' lists but Chance is yet to breakthrough in the UK.
Unlike many American rappers, Chance was raised in an affluent neighbourhood in Chicago so in order to create content for his music Chance turned to drugs and likes to write for the inspiration drug experimentation brings.
For those who are not familiar with any of his work, I highly recommend you download his free mixtape. Here is a little taster of what to expect :

Introducing : Natalia Kills

Natalia may have been on the scene for a while but she is still very much underrated for the sheer amount of talent she has. This British singer began her career as a rapper called Verbalicious when she was just a teen but the now 27 year old artist is an underground pop icon whose creative genius often draws comparisons to Lady Gaga and Rihanna.
Her music videos are usually dark, endearing and extremely entertaining and her music is best described as unadulterated modern day pop with a rock edge. She is stunning too.
Check out her video for Problem below which is filled with explicit scenes that would even make Miley Cyrus blush.

Introducing : SZA

SZA is the first lady of TDE who also look after Kendrick Lamar and Schoolboy Q, so she is in good company.
She just dropped the video for her Wondagurl-produced track Teen Spirit and it's a beautiful alternative R'n'B song. Her voice is haunting, the production is flawless and SZA seems very promising based on this first impression.
Her EP S was released earlier this year so take a listen when you have the chance because it's just as amazing as this track.

Introducing . . . Tinashe

Tinashe has all the ingredients of a superstar. She's only twenty years old, she can sing, write, produce and dance and she is sickeningly beautiful.
Tinashe released two mixtapes last year which got her signed to RCA records and saw her music being compared to Frank Ocean and The Weeknd, which I totally agree with. Her sound is definitely underground 'urban' and sets a dark and mellow atmosphere which is hard to describe so is best understood by actually listening to her music.
With her debut studio album set for release later this year, 2014 may be the year of Tinashe.
