This 23 year old, Cuban-American singer-songwriter (and sometimes rapper) has a unique tone to her voice and a commanding presence in her music which matches her hard-hitting and often personal lyrics. Her feisty and unapologetic attitude makes her stand out from much of the female artists in the charts today.
I instantly fell in love with her debut single, Gangsta, and its catchy hook which screams female empowerment. If this is just a taste of what to expect from the debut album, released in September, than she is no doubt on the road to success.
